What happened in the end of chapter 3 of the outsiders

After Ponyboy comes home and finds out that Darry is furious, he and his brothers have a big fight that results in Darry hitting Ponyboy. Ponyboy leaves in a hurry and meets up with Johnny who agrees to run away with him. The boys walked to the park and think about it. That's how chapter 3 ends.
