Exercise have two forms: aerobic and anaerobic.
If respiratory system is not working ideally, the amount of oxygen the patient receives is lowered. Less oxygen is transported in the bloodstream to the digestive tract for digestion. (List some examples ie less oxygen for churning in stomach, less surface area of food in contact with gastric juice, less protein broken down into amino acids)
Less nutrients can be converted to ATP to support patients vigorous aerobic exercise.
Poor digestion and thus poor absorption less to less nutrient stores, less glucose is stored in body as glycogen. Less glucose could be converted to lactic acid to form ATP as energy. Insufficient to support patient’s anaerobic exercise.
