Atired freshman an 18-year-old college freshman reports to the campus health clinic. he states that he has felt very fatigued and generally ill for about a week and developed sore throat, fever, and headache the day before. he has been sleeping more than usual and has virtually no appetite. he says his girlfriend, who attends college in a different state and whom he saw last month, has also been feeling very fatigued for the last two weeks or so, but she displays none of the student's other symptoms.
