A student is trying to balance a long beam on a fulcrum so that the beam does not rotate. If the beam has two masses on it that are 7.84 meters apart (a 5.3 kg mass on the left end and a 22.7kg mass at the opposite end), where should the student place the fulcrum so the system will be in static equilibrium?
