George walks to a friend's house. He walks 750 meters North, then realizes he walked too far. He turns around and walks 250 meters South. The entire
walk takes him 13 seconds.
(i) Explain which kind of speed is the most accurate speed to calculate for
George's motion out of the following: average speed and instantaneous
speed? Average speed would provide a more accurate speed because it deals
with the data points for the entire trip unlike instantaneous speed that deals
with only a specific moment of time in the journey,
(ii) Calculate the DISPLACEMENT George made during his movement.
iii) Calculate the Average Speed George had for his entire trip.

Aball bearing at 220.0 °c is dropped into a cup containing 250.0 g of water at 20.0 °c. the water and ball bearing come to a temperature of 30.0 °c. what is the heat capacity of the ball bearing in j/°c? (hint: how are the algebraic signs of q related for the ball bearing and the water? )

A10nc charge sits at a point in space where the magnitude of the electric field is 1500 n/c. what will the magnitude of the field be if the 10 nc charge is replaced by a 20 nc charge? assume the system is big enough to consider the charges as small test charges.

In the future, people will only enjoy one sport: electrodisc. in this sport, you gain points when you cause metallic discs hovering on a field to exchange charge. you are an electrodisc player playing the popular four disc variant. the disks have charges of qa = −8.0 µc, qb = −2.0 µc, qc = +5.0 µc, and qd = +12.0 µc. (1) you bring two disks together and then separate them. you measure the resulting charge of these two disks and find that it is +5.0 µc per disk. which two disks did you bring together? (a) a and b (b) a and c (c)a and d (d)b and c(e) b and d (f) c and d. (2) you bring three disks together and then separate them. you measure the resulting charge of these three disks and find that it is +3.0 µc per disk. which three disks did you bring together? a, b, and c (a) a, b, and d (c) a, c, and d (d) b, c, and d. (3) given the resulting charge of each disk measured in (b) is +3.0 µc, how many electrons would you need to add to a disk of this charge to electrically neutralize it? electrons
