Fabric is sold by the yard and many fabrics are 48" wide (4feet). Designers calculate the square feet needed for a garment in order to decide how much fabric to buy. A Designer is creating skirts as samples for 6 models in an up coming fashion show. Each skirt requires 42 square feet of fabric. The cost of the fabric is $12.57 per yard. How many yards of material does the designer need for the 6 skirts?
