Johana works in the crime lab at the New York City
Police Department. A woman's shoe was found at a
crime scene. Johana measures it and then uses the
following function to predict the estimated height of
the suspect:
y = 1.19x+56
where x represents a woman's shoe size and y
represents the estimated likely height of the woman in
inches.
