The hotel website shows a drawing of the room they requested. The room is drawn to scale. The width of the room on the scale drawing is 5 in.
(a)The area of the requested room is 325ft. Using the area measurement and the scale, find the perimeter of the room. Show your work.
(b)When Mr. And Mrs. Ferguson arrive at the hotel they are given a room with different dimensions for the same price. A scaled version of the new room, using the same scale used for the first room, is 12 in. Long and 6 in. Wide. Find the area of the new room in feet. Which room is larger, the room from Part (a) or the room from Part (b)? Show your work.
