Tony stark wants to build a 100 meter high tower as quickly as possible. he has unlimited resources and an unlimited budget and is willing to spend any amount to get the job done.

he has chosen to build the tower with blocks that are 100 meters long and 100 meters wide, but only 1 meter tall. the blocks interlock on top and bottom (like legos). they cannot be stacked sideways.

using special lifters, putting one stack on top of another stack takes one week regardless of how high the stacks are. what is the shortest amount of time that it will take to build the tower?
your answer should be in weeks.

before you answer the question for a 100 meter high tower, let’s find the answer for a 5 meter high tower and a 10 meter high tower.
5 meter -
10 meter -
100 meter -

Does the function satisfy the hypotheses of the mean value theorem on the given interval? f(x) = 4x^2 + 3x + 4, [−1, 1] no, f is continuous on [−1, 1] but not differentiable on (−1, 1). no, f is not continuous on [−1, 1]. yes, f is continuous on [−1, 1] and differentiable on (−1, 1) since polynomials are continuous and differentiable on . there is not enough information to verify if this function satisfies the mean value theorem. yes, it does not matter if f is continuous or differentiable; every function satisfies the mean value theorem.
