We start off with your equation:
1.5−3y=6
Then we are going to simplify it so:
1.5+−3y=6
−3y+1.5=6
Now that we are done simplifying it we are going to subtract 1.5 from both of the sides:
−3y+1.5−1.5=6−1.5
Then we get:
−3y=4.5
Now we put them as a fraction and divide my both of the sides:
−3y/−3=4.5/−3
Now that you are done dividing by both sides you should get the answer -1.5 so the answer is:
