In the attached, I have shown the data entered into a spreadsheet, selected, then plotted by the Chart Wizard of that spreadsheet program (NeoOffice-an Excel work-alike).

There are numerous options for labeling and formatting the chart. I have not used any of them.

If you're doing this by hand, look at the range of the data you intend to plot and choose a scale factor so that the largest bar will fit on the page in a pleasing way. Then use that same scale factor for the other data.

Here, it might make sense to let 15 or 20 cm of length on the chart correspond to 50 cm of your data. That is, the "46.9 cm" bar would be 20/50*46.9 = 18.8 cm long on your chart. This will give you room for labels and titles when laid out in portrait format.

In my example, I have made the bars vertical. Alternatively, the chart can be created so the bars run horizontally. The choice of one format or the other would depend on what you're trying to show and the most appropriate way to communicate that.
