What is the aim of the new constitution

The Constitution was written to define the role of government, the different parts of government, define the powers of government, set limitations on those powers, and to provide a means of change for the Constitution. The Bill of Rights was added so those rights which were considered to be our most important rights, were protected against the abuse of government.
