Luther was summoned by Church's authority for his remarks in Ninety-Five theses and there was a heated exchange between Martin Luther and Cajetan on two points, one was that the Bible was the ultimate authority and second was that Humans can reach salvation by their faith and the Church ordered Martin Luther to recant these two points to which he denied.
