Argument for using the atomic bomb ? ?

The atomic bomb was a nuclear weapon that was justified, it dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki for many reasons. The bombings had nothing to do with Japan, it was the news of the test was cabled to President Truman, who was attending an important meeting in Potsdam, Germany, where he met with Britain’s Winston Churchill and Russia’s Joseph Stalin for the first time. With this new weapon in hand, Truman issued one final warning to Japan, referred to as the Potsdam Declaration. Japan ignored the warning.
While some say dropping a nuclear bomb on Japan was bad, it was necessary. The bomb was necessary it saved American and Japanese lives. For example, U.S. Army Chief of Staff George Marshall thought the Americans would suffer 31,000 casualties in the first 30 days while Admiral Ernest King, Chief of Naval Operations, put them between 31,000 and 41,000.  This is significant because it shows how within the moments of the bomb George Marshall thought that they would kill the prisoners and on the first 30 days of battle they would lose 31,000.
The bomb shortened the war. For example, it achieved its primary objective of shortening the war. The bombs were dropped on August 6th and August 9th, the next day, the Japanese requested a halting of the war. On August 14 Emperor Hirohito announced to the Japanese people that they would surrender, and the United States celebrated V-J Day (Victory over Japan). This is significant because it allows the Emperor to tell Japan to surrender so that they wouldn’t have to worry.The Japanese were given fair warning. For example, Supporters of Truman’s decision to use the atomic bomb point out that Japan had been given ample opportunity to surrender. The government responsible for the war would be dismantled, there would be a military occupation of Japan, and the nation would be reduced in size to pre-war borders. This is significant because this is about the fact that Japan decided to go against and ignore the warning that they were given, even if it meant losing lots of things.
Some people may say, that the use of the bomb was not justified. Some say that the bomb was used for defense only. For example, Hungarian-born physicist Leo Szilard feared that Germany was trying to build an atomic bomb, while the United States was sitting idle.  Although WWII had not yet started, Germany was clearly a threat, and if the Germans had a monopoly on the atomic bomb, it could be deployed against anyone, including the United States, without warning.This proves that, the people of Germany planned on attacking but, the thought was originally for it to be for defense. However, it is important to know that the U.S. was never a part of the League of Nations, and they were disbanded for 6 years.
The information towards the supporting of the bomb was that United States remains the only nation to have ever used nuclear weapons, and has never again resorted to them, despite subsequent wars. Atomic bombs are classified as Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), a special category of weaponry considered by much of the civilized world to be especially cruel and inhumane, because of the sheer number of deaths they can cause, because they kill soldiers and civilians indiscriminately, and because of the horrific way in which their victims die. Since it was a secret project, the American population didn’t know about the bomb until it was used. The saving of lives, the shortening of a potential life threatening war, it had all the components of the bomb. Back then, the bomb could have saved and prevented American and Japanese lives  from the kamikaze attacks.
