I'm not going to answer this for you, rather I'll give you a place to start. Saying the Great Depression was his fault is a stretch. The Great Depression affected every country. When the stock market crashed, the economy had been doing well and increasing for years, it was bound to crash. Herbert Hoover didn't start it, but let's just say he didn't exactly improve or stop it. Hoover was very nonchalant about the Depression, believing that it would go away and government intervention was not necessary. Instead he believed that charities and churches should be helping those in need. However, it became apparent that they alone could not help the millions of people starving and homeless. By then it was too late and the country was done with him. He lost reelection to Franklin Roosevelt.
