Why did the zhou establish their own dynasty?

Zhou Dynasty establishes its rule in China after overthrowing the Shang Dynasty by defeating in the Battle of Muye. Zhou sets its right to rule through the idea of the Mandate of Heaven. The Mandate of Heaven allowed only one rightful ruler of China at a time, and the ruler governs with approval of the gods peacefully.
