Mexican factions wanted Porfirio Díaz out of power in the first decade of the 20th Century and up to 1911, when Díaz resigned.

Works of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels inspired different political factions to make the Russian Revolution, first the Social-Revolutionaries in February-March 1917 and lastly, the Bolsheviks in October-November 1917.
