If you increased the amount of muscle mass in your body, what other changes would occur?

An obvious answer is that you would become heavier and able to perform more strenuous physical activity (examples being weight lifting and other types of physical activity that require increased muscle contraction). Muscle is very dense in terms of size/weight, so visually adding a small amount of mass could mean you've become quite heavier in reality.
