Sleep paralysis. so this is something iā€™ve dealt with for most of my life (iā€™m 15) and iā€™m pretty sure my first sp was when i was 9. and itā€™s usually the usual iā€™m not able to move anything except for my eyes, and itā€™s so hard to breathe (feels like someoneā€™s pushing hard on my chest) and then i hear someone whispering and then i can move and then have to essentially wake up because i wonā€™t be able to go back to sleep. but recently. and i mean itā€™s happened twice now and itā€™s not even been a week. where i suddenly wake up like a noise woke me, but then soon realize iā€™m not able to move and i sleep on my side that doesnā€™t face the wall and i have a desk that is on the same wall as my bed but farther off in the room. and i see myself sitting in the computer chair. like me. but as soon as i see (myself) it spins around and faces me and just stares at me for a good 2-3 minutes. and then it is that i realize that itā€™s got cold eyes instead of my normal eyes. and for one itā€™s absolutely creepy to be able to see yourself move without you ya know and secondly i kinda feel threatened to be honest. itā€™s happened 2 times now and i noticed the 2nd time (me) stared at my paralyzed body for about a minute longer then the 1st time. i just wonder if anyone else experienced anything like this because iā€™ve never had this happen before. and iā€™ve told my close family and they just shrugged it off and said iā€™m just having bad dreams again, but my computer chair is facing my bed when i come back into my room? and i know usually these are hallucinations but nothingā€™s changed in my life to cause a sudden anxiety or stress spell so i donā€™t know. and i know what bad dreams feel like and sp is waay worse then a bad dream. you canā€™t be awake to be having a bad dream

Samuel is a 63-year-old single man who works full time in a food processing plant. he has a history of esophageal cancer, which was treated successfully with anti-cancer drugs and surgery four years ago. his weight had been stable at 135 pounds until 6 months ago. since then, he has experienced an involuntary weight loss of 10 pounds. he complains of a poor appetite and being overly weak, tired, and irritable. he also complains of cracks at the corners of his mouth and a chronic sore throat, which concerns him, given his cancer history. his usual diet is fairly consistent. he states that he rarely eats breakfast because he starts work at 6 a.m. he eats two deli meat sandwiches, "usually pastrami or salami," and a soda at 10 a.m., and may eat a candy bar in the afternoon when he gets off work. he often prepares and eats a frozen dinner or pizza at home in the evening and routinely drinks "about four or five beers" before going to bed. occasionally, he cooks roast and mashed potatoes for dinner and may have cereal with milk for a snack before bed. he rarely eats vegetables or fruit. 1. considering samuel's alcohol consumption, which b vitamin may he be deficient in? a. pantothenic acid b. niacin c. riboflavin d. biotin e. thiamin
