How does social media alter your mind and or beliefs about things? How does socia media control society and create new normals for today? How does it influence the way you view relationships? That's my home work for tonight and I need ideas plz.

I kinda got caught up in it and ended up writing the essay lol

As we all know, social media is a part of everyone's life. Whether if you only own one app, or so many that you don't have any more room for it. In today's age, social media has an impact on every aspect of life. Social Media is used to communicate, figure out social status and creates new society norms everyday. How?

Well since social media is very inclusive in everyone's life, it really is no wonder on why it can control your ideas or opinions. Most of the time, social media influences people by what most popular, most viewed, or liked. Especially when someone you may look up to uses social media. You would want to have the same ideas as them, wouldn't you?

Social Media also controls society norms. Based off of the most popular opinion once more, social media decides whether or not something is accepted in society or isn't. Certain posts may be rejected or deleted because it doesn't "fit" society's norms. Why? Because of the popularity thing again.

Social media also changes the way you look at things. It changes the way you receive your news or announcements and updates. Whether it's from the news or from you favorite game. You may seem something on the news, and due to the wonderful editing programs we have today, it may not seem different than for what it actually is.

So is social media a good thing or a bad thing? Again it depends. If I were to post this, I'm sure plenty of people would disagree because of there 2nd nature to rely on social media for everything. Social media does wonders. For good and bad.
