WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF A DISEASE KILLED ONE SPECIES IN AN ECOSYSTEM THAT DOESN’T HAVE MUCH VARIETY?

The that wouls ruin the whole chain of ecosystems. Their predator's species would either move trying to find more food, or slowly decrease in size. Their pray, would increase because their would be no predators to eat them.

For example say you took out gardener snakes in a certain area, their predator (hawks, foxes, ect.) would most likey try hunting in other area, while some might die because the lack of food. While their prey (small rodents, lizards, ect.) populations would increase and there would be an imfensation of them.
