This type of farming does big damage to the tropical rainforests because it uses slash and burns technique to clear up space for farming, but the soil that is used for farming is not of good quality nor it is treated well, so once it is used for few years another part of the rainforests is destroyed and so on.

Commercial farming is farming that is often performed by using 'modern tools and technology. From mechanization to chemicals, the farmers use everything they can in order to produce more goods. It is a well-planned type of farming, and the high amount of goods that are produced are almost exclusively for sale. This type of farming is also very damaging for the rainforests as huge portions of the rainforests are destroyed in order to open up space for the huge plantations, and as the demand increases for the products, more and more rainforest is destroyed.
