Why were many cubans unhappy with fidel castro

Fidel Castro ruled Cuba first as prime minister from 1959 to 1976 and then as a single president from 1976 to 2008. Under his leadership, Cuba became a one-party communist state.

After Fidel fell ill in 2006, 79 years old, his brother Raul Castro took over the leading role in the country's politics. He finally died in 2016.
