Which character most offers hope that the feud between the capulets and montagues could end?

I believe there could be some hope for the Capulets and Montagues' feud. Prince Escalues is an essential character in the play, tired and desperate to end the two families' rivalry. For example, when he noticed Benvolio, Tybalt, Samson, and Abram's fight, he called an instant end to it and threatened both the Capulets and Montagues. Not only that but when Romeo kills Tybalt, the prince saw an opportunity.  Instead of having him executed, the prince ordered for Romeo's banishment, which would lead to the Montague family finally realizing the weight of their actions, ceasing aggression.
