How can a job seeker be better prepared?

A job seeker can be most prepared by having a cover sheet made out for a particular position. Make a cover sheet for that particular company seeking employment for.

e.g. dear sir or madam I'm highly interested in (whatever position it's offering) etc etc

Have a hard copy of your resume as well send a soft copy via e-mail to HR or hiring manager

Most important do your research on that particular company. Know who you want to work for and last come up with five personal questions you want to ask your future employee
