Good afternoon Anna
I am going to be on a training course on Monday and we have a new employee starting that day, Darryl Haynes. I said
would let you know the procedure for his induction. Darryl will be here at 9am on Monday. Can you meet and welcome
him. Go to Human Resources with him to organise his staff ID. Then have a discussion to explain:
• Who the personnel are
His work hours, lunch break times etc.
How our department works

Introduce him to his work area, including:
a tour of the work environment and facilities;
work protocols: location/use of printers, scanners etc.;
• security issues (issue keys and security code):
facilities such as the canteen, parking, cycle bays etc.
