Well I love listening to music cuz it makes me calm

Every morning I wake up with a song in my head that lasts all day until the next morning when a new song is in my head. I was brought up with music, my father had the state of the art hi-fi system and he loved all types of music, especially Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and big band music. You have to realize this was the early 50s and rock and roll was just starting to become popular with Elvis, Chuck Berry, Motown and Phil Spector‘s wall of sound. In 1965 I was 11 years old when I first heard Bob Dylan’s Like a rolling stone on my tiny transistor radio, it’s then that I became hooked on music, especially Dylan. Then all hell broke loose when the British invasion began, namely the Beatles and shortly after, the Rolling Stones. Most teens were either listening to the Beach boys, R&B, or Motown so The Beatles became a huge part in their young lives, music that represented their generation, something they could call their own. The 60s were a magical time and being a teen during that time was as good as it gets and the music that accompanies my memories are basically a soundtrack of my life, if that makes any sense.
