Gilgamesh was a historical king from the Sumerian city of Uruk which is famously known by the name of Iraq in the present world. He was known to be the major hero in Mesopotamian history and he also played the role of protagonist in the Epic of Gilgamesh which was an epic poem written in Akkadian during the second millennium BC. In table four of this poem, Gilgamesh and Enkidu start their journey to the Cedar forest and after every few days in the forest, they both perform a dream ritual.
