This should be way more than 5 points but I’ll write a paragraph for you because I feel bad. “No the school day shouldn’t be lengthened. Children already attend school on average 7 hours a day and 5 days a week not including extracurricular activities like tutoring. On top of this children come home most days with homework. This requires even more usage of their brain for more school work. This averages out to about 40+ hours of school a week for the average student including extracurriculars and homework. Adding more to this risks a child’s mental health. Schooling is very helpful to the new knowledge of children but over working them is never good. Adding more to the school day would give kids a bigger case load than many adults job hours. This is simply threatening to a young persons mind.” Your welcome
