Directions: You would like to nominate a family member or friend for the “Friend of the Year” award. Write a letter to the nominating committee about your friend or family member. Be sure to include the following elements:

Identify who the person is you have nominated for “Friend of the Year.”

Describe why you think this person deserves to receive the “Friend of the Year” award. List at list three traits that make this person a good friend.

Write about an experience you have had with this friend (at least one paragraph in length) that demonstrates the positive characteristics of this person.

Be sure to write your letter in letter format with proper salutations (“Dear Nominating Committee,”) and proper closings (“Sincerely,”).
