How does this sound for a horror story (I would write a horror story in 1999 in a cottage in the woods about a boy named Lucas who’s home alone for a day because his parents are stuck in a thunderstorm on the other side of town). Lucas calls his parents to see where they are but after he gets off the phone with his parents he hears sounds upstairs at that moment he realizes he’s not alone he tries to call his parents but the storm cuts the power out just as he picks up the phone and was about to put in the phone number.
