In the painting Pope Leo X with Cardinals delivers a mood that can be described as uneasy and tense.  This can be determined by a couple of facial expressions of two of the subjects.  The cardinal on the right side of the painting seems to have “shifty” eyes that would seem to suggest paranoia.  The pope, too, has an uneasy facial expression of stress.  And, again, it is because of the facial expressions of the subjects that an uneasy, tense mood is conveyed.
