The aluminum strut AB has a hollow, rectangular cross-section with a thickness of 2 mm. The strut is rigidly attached to the wall at A and is supported by a pin and bracket at B. The end at B can rotate freely about the z-axis, but the bracket prevents rotation about the y-axis. Material properties for aluminum are E = 70 GPa and SY = 250 MPa, and a factor of safety of 2.5 is specified. Calculate the maximum allowable centric load P for the strut.
