How many electrons are in the element

Number of electrons differ from one elements to other elements .means that each elements have different numbers of electrons

for ex Hydrogen has only one electron whereas helium has 2 electrons

Number of electrons = Atomic number

Atomic number of an element tells the no. of electrons in it.

For ex

Hydrogen ( atomic no. 1 ) 1 electron

helium ( atomic no 2 ) 2 electron

Lithium (atomic no.3 ) 3 electron

it is the most commonly accepted one
