Explain why the concepts of limiting factors and tolerance are important in ecology

The tolerance and limiting factor plays an essential part in ecology as they influence the number of organisms living in and reproducing in an environment as well as surviving there.  

Limiting factor signifies towards any abiotic or biotic element, which limits the numbers, existence, distribution, or reproduction of organisms, while tolerance signifies towards the majority of the organisms that can be carried most efficiently.
