Vestales sacerrimum ignem custodiebant (guarded), et ubi erat periculum, eum ad locum tutum portabant.

Romani putaverunt Vestam ab Aenea in Italiam portatam esse, et eum primum Virgines Vestales delegisse (deligo = choose).
