THE PRETERITE WITH ADVERBS Regular verbs ending in -er and -ir have the same endings for each subject.
[-í, -iste, -ió, -imos, -ieron]

Remember also that to form an adverb you add -mente to the end of the word such as in lento - lentamente.

Rewrite each sentence, changing the verb in bold type to the preterite [past] tense and adding the adverb. [10 points]

Example: Victor escribe una carta - serio Victor escribió una carta seriamente.
