The steps in the recycling process are:

1. Classify the objects in the following groups:  

a) paper and cardboard  

b) plastic  

c) objects not recycled

Each of the above groups must go in its own container.

Note, in order to do this, you have to to collect the plastic and glass  (recoger el plastico y el vidrio) and separate the plastic from the cardboard (separar el plastico del cartón)

2. Separate recyclable materials from non-recyclable materials in each of the previous categories.

3. Identify in your city which are the sites to which you can take the toxic materials, so that there they are given the appropriate treatment.

4. Analyze which materials, which you are going to discard, you can give an alternative use.  

5. Deposit the remaining materials in the corresponding containers or go to the recycling center (llevar todo al centro de reciclaje)

Now, from the steps above we are able to see that do volunteer work   (hacer el trabajo de voluntario) is not part of the steps in recycling.
