Hola, me llamo Catalina. At my school in Nicaragua, the school year runs from the beginning of August until the middle of June. Vacation runs from the June to August. The day also includes two breaks for recess and lunch for high school students and one break for recess for elementary students. My friend Francisco in Costa Rica begins school in December at 7 a. m. every morning, and he has classes for about six hours. Francisco tells me that some students go to class either in the morning or in the afternoon. They have 60 days off in their school year.
