spanish 1a u3 worksheet b

instructions:

open this document and follow along in the tutorials to complete the tasks. you will submit the activity for a grade once you finish all the tiles in this unit.

do not use a translator for the original sentences that you should be creating on your own. refer to student handbook regarding the use of google translate as plagiarism.

you can copy and paste the following accent marks into your assignment:
á é í ó ñ ú ü ¿ ¡

task a: direct object pronouns: some notes of mine! (you are introduced to direct object pronouns in the tutorial my friends slides 9-13)

direct object pronouns are used to replace an object that has previously been mentioned, to avoid repetition. for example,
how long have you known miss laterza?
i’ve known her since september.

her is used to replace miss laterza to avoid repetition.

the options for direct object pronouns are:
lo- masculine singular (him)
los - masculine plural (“them”/ a group including at least 1 male)
la - feminine singular (her)
las- feminine plural (a group of all females “them”)
me- when referring to myself
te- when referring to “you” (someone you are talking to directly that is a friend)
nos- when referring to a group of people that includes “me” (we! )

identify the direct object in the sentence by underlining it. then replace the direct object with the correct pronoun. on questions 2 and 3, you also need to use the correct conjugation of conocer to answer the question.

example question: ¿conoces a las chicas?
example response: sí, _las__ conozco de escuela.

1a. ¿ustedes conocen la secretaria?
1b. sí, conocemos.

2a. ¿miguel conoce a los maestros?
2b. sí,

3a. ¿tu conoces a henry?
3b. sí
