Writing negative news with clarity and sensitivity helps reader to take message personally.

In a workplace as in everyday life, delivering bad news to co-workers or anyone involved requires care and caution. Without precaution, relationships can be ruined leading to a hostile work environment or losing business. Writing a negative message with sensitivity shows empathy toward the receiver.  

Clarity, on the other hand, doesn't create any confusion or ambiguity allowing the receiver to process the news and move on easily. Sometimes the message may be met with resistance depending on receiver therefore tactful strategy to empathize with the receiver is very important.
