What is the result of americans' tradition of joining interest groups?

I believe the answer is: a large number of interest groups of all sizes

Each of these interest groups are established to pursue a different type of political interests. In order to fulfill their goals, these interest groups would help political representatives that have similar principles with them and help those representatives in funding their campaign.
