Why might the wealthy people of a poor country support an oligarchy when faced with a communist revolution to their country?

Communism is the complete opposite of capitalism, meaning that they pay their workers the same price for a different job. At least in an oligarchy ( a country led by a small group of people) they pay different amounts of money for different jobs. Such as if you were a doctor, you would be paid more then if you were a janitor. So the rich would want an oligarchy so they at least have a chance to continue being wealthy with more of an income.

Because an oligarchy is were a small group of people are in charge, typically the wealthy elite. So they can look out for themselves if they are running everything and make themselves wealthier. communists want to make everyone equal, get rid of income disparity that makes the wealthy people rich.
