While the majority of the anti-Semitism tracked by the ADL occurred in public places, a surprisingly high amount occurred in K–12 schools and college campuses. Why have educational locations been the scene of such a large proportion of anti-Semitism? Given that many schools teach the lessons of the Holocaust and emphasize lessons encouraging tolerance, why are schools such common settings for recent anti-Semitic incidents?
