Step 2: Consider the required elements of the newspaper.
a) Your newspaper should include a headline story. A headline story is a paper’s biggest, most
important story.
News stories should:

b) Draft – Create a rough draft of your newspaper.
c) Revise – Review your work, correct mistakes, and make improvements.
Step 4: Evaluate your newspaper using this checklist. When you can answer “yes” to all of
the questions, you are ready to submit your newspaper.
