1 point 4. Researchers gave 20 toddlers Goldfish crackers and asked each of the
children to give one cracker away to a puppet. Later they gave each child
another cracker and asked them to give it to the puppet. Based on the
reactions of the children (studied on videotape) it was found that the
children exhibited more happiness when they gave their own crackers
away than when they gave away the cracker provide by the researcher. The
results indicate children experience happiness from giving. (PLoS ONE,
