Mr. Al R. Gee Miranda and her new friends Celia, Ashton, and Bree were watching a scary movie in Miranda's living room. In the movie, a couple was hiding from zombies in an abandoned building. With weapons in hand, the man and the woman were waiting for the inevitable. Miranda and her gal pals were on the edge of their seats waiting to find out what would happen to the couple.
"HONK!"
"A!" screamed everyone but Miranda.
"It's okay," Miranda explained as she paused the movie. "That was just my dad."
"Boy, it sounds as though he has some serious sinus issues," said Ashton.
"He's got some issues alright," Miranda responded. "His nasal congestion is driving a wedge between us."
"What do you mean?" asked Celia.
"I don't hang out with him much anymore outside the house," answered Miranda. "During elementary school, he never missed a soccer game or a school play. However, he blew his nose at the most critical moments. My friends and I missed several goals because of his honking, and his honking made him more noticeable than anyone onstage performing a play. That's when everyone started referring to Dad as Mr. Al R. Gee. Soon after, I was known as Miranda Gee."
"Ha, allergy. That's clever!" said Bree. "Maybe he doesn't know how loud he is. You should talk to 'Mr. Gee' about it. Maybe suggest he start taking allergy medication or something. He's your dad, after all. You should let him know that you are concerned."
"I guess you're right," answered Miranda. "I'll talk to him tomorrow. Besides, I'm getting tired of that honking waking me up at night. Be forewarned!"
"That's okay, Miranda," said Ashton laughingly. "Our parents have some embarrassing habits as well. Let's get some more popcorn and talk. I've got some embarrassing stories involving my parents that are scarier than this movie!"
"HONK!" The loud noise came from down the hall.
With that, the girls went to the kitchen in hysterics.
