Sojourner Truth's original name was Isabella Baumfree. She was African and were engaged in slavery. She was known to be an obedient slave and followed every order of her master. She worked a lot and never disobeyed her master. When she was freed she looked into the bigger picture of slavery and protested peacefully against slavery. She even gave speeches and worked for the eradication for slavery.

One the other hand, Harriet Tubman was a disobedient slave. She never kept quiet if any injustice was done against her. When her owner whipped her or beat her, she fought against her owner. When she was freed from slavery she fought and took personal crusade against it.  Tubman's original name was Araminta Ross.

Both fought against slavery very bravely. They affected the women of the American society. Most women came out to the streets to protest against slavery and injustice happening to them. Both the activist encourage other women to take part in social and political affair. Thus they have a positive impact on the ladies of the American Society.
