Your first step is to visit My Plate and click on the “Get Your MyPlate Plan” start button. At this point, you will be prompted to enter information about yourself: age

physical activity
Submit the information and click on “Calculate food plan.” This will reveal your calorie allotment, which you will click on to see your daily eating plan.

You can access the print and the share features at the top right of the page. Click to view your MyPlate Plan as a PDF, and print this for your use. This document shows your daily food group targets, gives you a place to track what you ate and lets you decide if you hit your target or not. It also gives you a place to note if you were physically active and what unhealthy things you were able to limit. At the bottom, it gives you a place to track your “wins” for the day.
Now that your customized food plan is ready, take time to examine it. Look at how much of each food group is recommended for you to eat. You can also click separately on the food group icons to learn more details about each group.
Analyze the recommendations on your MyPlate Plan to answer the questions.
