How social media perpetuate attacks on gays​

Social media is a double-edged sword in situations such as this one. In one point of view, it is a great tool to allow people from all over the world to unite and share what is important to them with those they love. Unfortunately, at the same time, certain individuals can use Social media to spread hate. This perpetuates attacks on gays and many other groups as individuals that harbor lots of hate towards these groups can form their own hate groups to target anyone and everyone who they dislike. This can quickly get out of hand, and since it is incredibly easy to access social media and find like-minded individuals, it leads to perpetuating attacks.
